Obituary for Joseph Brighindi
Joseph Brighindi, age 85, of Bristol, CT, beloved husband of Elsie “Sally” (Yeingst) Brighindi, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Mr. Brighindi was born April 18, 1933 in Bridgeport, son of the late August and Anna (Soldi) Brighindi.
Joe was a graduate of Bullard Haven and earned several specialty degrees in the machine trade. He was a United States Army National Guard veteran, a retired machinist for Moore Specialty Tool, a member of the Moore Specialty Tool Quarter Century Club and an accomplished inventor and a holder of patents.
Survivors include his four daughters, Jo-Ann Murrone and her husband Joseph, Lu-Ann Powell and her partner, Mark Howard, Debra Conklin and Lorri Davenport and her husband Jerome; one sister, Anna Ryan; one brother, Edward Brighindi; eight grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Richard, Tina, Gus, Gene, Jerry and Joey; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Gus Brighindi.
Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service with Military Honors celebrated by Father Bruce Roby on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. by meeting directly at King's Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford.
His girls have announced that a continued celebration of his life will follow for friends and family at "Century Buffet" on Rt. 6 in Bristol.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to: The Alzheimer’s Association or The American Cancer Society.
