Obituary for Kathleen (Henry) Walker
Kathleen A. (Henry) Walker, age 64, of Hamden, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 with family members by her side.  Kathleen, formerly of Fairfield and Stratford, was born October 29, 1952 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Robert P. and Alice R. (McDonald) Henry of Fairfield. Â
Kathleen earned a B.A. Degree from Sacred Heart University and a Master's Degree in Sociology from Southern CT State University. She was a retired Realtor and CNA, and also operated a candle making business for several years, distributing and selling her candles throughout New England.  Kathy was also known for her wonderful singing voice, her vibrant personality and her love of all things Irish. She won many awards over the years, including Blue Ribbons at the Vermont State Fair and the Durham Fair, for her delicious cakes and other baked goods. In addition, she was an ardent cat lover and will be greatly missed by her loyal pet, Marty. Â
In addition to her husband, Mark, she leaves behind her beloved brothers, Patrick K. Henry and wife Paula of Fairfield, John F. Henry and wife Anna of Murrells Inlet, SC, Robert J. Henry and wife Julie of Gillette, WY, and Brendan J. Henry and wife Ann of Milford. She also leaves behind ten cherished nieces and nephews and seven precious grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Â
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Yale New Haven Hospital for the excellent and compassionate care they gave Kathy in her final days. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Â
Friends and family are invited to offer their final respects on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford.  A funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 297 Second Hill Lane in Stratford.  Burial will be private. Â
