Obituary for Alfred David Lozowski
Alfred David Lozowski, devoted husband for 60 years of Theresa (Kratky) Lozowski, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in Bridgeport Hospital. Alfred was born July 15, 1924, in Stratford, the son of the late Joseph and Kristina (Briloff) Lozowski, and was a lifelong resident of Stratford, his beloved hometown. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the Medical Corp. He worked for many years in the family’s business, Lozowski’s Market on Huntington Road and later worked at Sikorsky Aircraft. Alfred loved boating and fishing and cherished time he spent with family and friends. He was very proud of his Polish heritage and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Gary Lozowski and his wife Denise of Tewksbury, Massachusetts and Alan Lozowski of Milford; four beloved granddaughters Jenna, Andrea, Leanne and Michelle; his brother Rudolph T. Lozowski and wife Barbara of Florence, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews. All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
