Obituary for Amy Elizabeth Swoszowski
Amy Elizabeth Swoszowski, age 38, of Stratford, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 lovingly surrounded by her family. Amy was born in Bridgeport the daughter of Thomas and Susan Swoszowski of Stratford.

A graduate of Ansonia High School, she attended Southern Connecticut State College and Norwalk Technical Community College. Amy was a Type I diabetic since September of 1983 who endured complications most of her life from this disease. In her earlier years, she worked in several office positions however, had she not become ill, her dream was to become a Marine Biologist.

She had a kind and compassionate spirit always taking care of family when in need. She had a love of music, loved reading books, flowers and plants, and especially enjoyed making hand crafted jewelry. She was a true animal lover especially cats and will be greatly missed by her feline companion Murry, who has been with her for over 19 years and also Milo, Lily, Leo and Lina.

In addition to her parents she is survived by a brother Ryan Swoszowski of Stratford, Uncles and Aunts James and Jeanne Boone of Stratford, Robert and Evelyn Swoszowski of Shelton, Daniel and Kathy Swoszowski of Shelton, her fiancé Donald Waters of Shelton, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be announced at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in her memory to your local animal shelter and rescue, or National Wildlife Federation, PO Box 1583,Merrifield, VA 22116.
