Obituary for Ann Cristiano Rosati
Ann G. Cristiano Rosati 94, beloved widow of the late Leonard R. Rosati, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Mrs. Rosati was born July 22, 1923 in Bridgeport, CT. She was the daughter of the late Vito and Angelamaria (Federici) Cristiano.Â
Ann was raised in the Bronx, New York and had an older sister Celeste and a younger brother Philip. Anne's parents were from Castelgrande, Italy. She was the first member of her family to be born in the United States. Ann attended Columbus High School in the Bronx and graduated in 1941. Ann and her husband , Leonard moved from the Bronx in 1960 to Stratford, CT .
Ann was happiest spending time with her family and friends and thoroughly enjoyed having visitors drop in at her home any time. Ann was an exceptional cook, loved to travel, play bridge, and enjoyed crochet. She was an active member of St. Mark's Church, Stratford and the Stratford Baldwin Center. Ann worked for several years at the University of Bridgeport and Read's Department store, Bridgeport, CT.Â
Ann is survived by three loving children; a son Adrian Rosati and his wife Marge of Bradenton Florida, son Leonard P. Rosati and his wife Jean of Shelton, and daughter, Marie Carloni and her husband Frank, of Monroe. She had seven cherished grandchildren, Wendy Rosati, Richard Rosati, Kristine Damone and husband Matthew, Leonard Rosati and wife Amy, Philip Rosati and wife Tanya, Lindsey Echeverria and her husband, Jonathan and Deanna Devloo and her husband, Steven. She also was the proud great grandmother of ten loving great grandchildren.Â
Friends are invited to greet the family Friday morning, December 15 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St. Stratford.Â
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at Saint Jude's Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will be in Saint John's Cemetery, Monroe, CT.Â
