Obituary for Anthony Mitchell Daccolti
Anthony Mitchell Daccolti, age 73, of Derby, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Anthony was born June 17, 1944 in Bridgeport, son of the late Anthony and Bernice (Stanbor) Daccolti and had been a life time area resident.
Known as the “Legendary Anthony Daccolti” he was the retired proprietor of several local taverns including the Brass Guitar and Frankie and Johnny’s to name a few. He was a United States Navy Veteran, enjoyed hitting the casinos, an avid reader, coffee drinker and a history and science buff.
Survivors include his children, Diane, Denise, Margo, Anthony, Robert and Chelsea; step-daughter, Jimine; three brothers, Pete, Frankie and Johnny and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Nancy (Sher) Daccolti and a son, Bruce Eccleston.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral service officiated by Deacon John Piatac on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit with his family Wednesday before service time from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
