Obituary for Anthony Spinelli
Anthony Spinelli, age 88, beloved husband of the late Anna (Denton) Spinelli, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 surrounded by his loving family in St. Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport.
Anthony was born August 24, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Nicholas and Jenny Mondato Spinelli and had been a long-time area resident.
Anthony was a retired painting contractor. He had a keen sense of humor, was very quick witted and loved to hear a good joke. His most enjoyment in life was spending time with his family, near and far. He was also an avid baseball fan, especially the Brooklyn Dodgers and later a NY Mets fan. A trip to the casino always brought a big smile to his face.
Survivors include his children, Anthony Spinelli, Jr., Jenny Ann Mucherino and her husband Joe, Linda Ramalho and her husband Dennis and Michael Spinelli and his wife Marianne; one brother, Nicholas Spinelli and his wife Connie; two sisters-in-law, Pauline and Antoinette Spinelli; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Ann Veronica Marzulla and her husband Phil; a grandchild, Raymond; four brothers, Leon, John, Hank and Salvatore Spinelli and two sisters, Anna Samochwal and Jean Montelione.
Donations in memory of Anthony may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
