Obituary for Arline Nelson
Arline (Lynch) Nelson, age 97, of Milford, previously of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Arthur Nelson, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Mrs. Nelson was born October 15, 1924, in Bridgeport, daughter of the late A. Robert and (Cyrilla) Lynch.
Arline was a retired secretary, a lifelong parishioner of our Lady of Grace Church, enjoyed knitting, was an avid reader (especially romance novels). She was an active member of the Bridgeport YMCA Senior Club for many years, was a member of the Fairfield Seniors Choral Group, a member of the Baldwin Center Choral Group and the Mill River Theater Group.
Survivors include her three children, David Nelson and his wife Betty, Bruce Nelson and his wife Laura and Sue Stonaha and her husband James; eight grandchildren, Dayna Kloebalen and her husband Jared, Eric Nelson and his wife Julie, Nicole J Thompson and her husband William, Jennifer DeForge, Melissa Nelson, Craig Stonaha and his wife Lisa-Marie, Stephen Stonaha and his wife Rachel and Paul Stonaha and his wife Sara; one sister, Verna Pistey and her husband Michael; twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. by meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church, 297 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, CT. Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Stratford.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Caring Hospice Services, www.caringhospice.com.
