Obituary for Audrey (Lee) Spencer
Audrey (Lee) Spencer, age 95, beloved wife of the late Warren B. Spencer, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Audrey was born May 29, 1922, in Schenectady, NY, daughter of the late Vernon Lee and Bertha (Snowstein) Lee.Â
Audrey had a full life. She was the happiest when family was around. She had the opportunity to live near both her daughters and their families. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were a great gift to her.
She loved living in Lordship and going to the beach, playing the piano, bridge club, & shopping in NYC! Audrey was employed at Macy’s managing their Jewelry Dept. until she retired from there. She was preceded by her sister Laura Lee.
Survivors include her two daughters, Lynda Spencer-Evans and her husband Robert of Nambe, New Mexico and Christie Goodwick and her husband David of Aiken, South Carolina; brother, Martin Lee; sister Sandra Lucia; seven grandchildren, Eric, Jon, Tara, Alex, Lindsey, Jesse and Jamie; five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Hannah, Sol, Layla and Rose and several nieces and nephews.Â
Friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. Interment will follow Union Cemetery, Stratford.
Friends may visit with her family Saturday before service time from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.Â
