Obituary for Barbara De Rubis
Barbara J. De Rubis, formerly of Stamford and the loving wife of the late Albert De Rubis, entered into the Gates of Heaven on Saturday, July 20, 2013. She passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Manor in Trumbull. Barbara was born on February 21, 1934 in Gardner, Maine. She was the daughter of Eva (Madore) and Joseph Gagnon and was one of 13 children. Barbara enjoyed her job as a Crossing Guard in Stamford who loved seeing her kids everyday. She had a great sense of humor, a longtime passion for New York Mets Baseball and truly enjoyed life. Her favorite time was spending time with her beloved family. She is survived by her only son Albert E. De Rubis, daughter-in-law Beatriz V. De Rubis and her beloved granddaughter Alana B. De Rubis of Stratford. Per Barbara’s request, there will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. by meeting directly at St. James Church, 2110 Main St. Stratford, CT. followed by inurnment at St. John’s Cemetery in Darien.
