Obituary for Benjamin Scott Belinkie
Benjamin Scott Belinkie, age 42, of Stratford, beloved father of Joseph Belinkie, passed away suddenly August 8, 2017 in New Haven. Mr. Belinkie was born October 7, 1974, son of the late Joseph and Dolette (Boreiko) Belinkie and had been a life time area resident. Â
Ben followed in his father's footsteps and was a practicing attorney and operated his own law firm in Bridgeport. He received his bachelor’s degree in Engineering from UCONN and his law degree from Quinnipiac University. He also held a license to practice Trademark Law.  Ben loved spending time with his son.  He cared deeply for his family, friends and clients. He was an avid Mets, Raiders, and Bunnell Bulldogs fan. He also enjoyed watching the World Cup, the beach and playing golf. Â
Survivors, in addition to his son, include his partner and mother of his son, Melanie Oakley of Stratford; three brothers, Stephen Cadley and his wife Susan of Georgia, Timothy Cadley and his wife Debbie of Stratford, and Mark Belinkie and his wife Gina of Stratford and four nieces and nephews, Stephanie and Jennifer Cadley and Molly and Ellie Belinkie.Â
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for Joseph’s future education, in care of Melanie Oakley, Benjamin Belinkie Attorney at Law, 285 Congress St, Bridgeport, CT 06604.Â
Friends are invited to join his family in a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615.Â
A service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Â
Interment will be private. Â
