Obituary for Bertha Pesano
Pesano - Bertha Caroline (Roth) Pesano age 76, of Stratford, beloved wife for 57 years of Anthony Joseph Pesano passed away Sunday December 28, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital with her devoted husband and adored nieces and nephews at her bed side. Bertha who grew up in Stratford was born in Stamford August 9, 1938, daughter of the late Carl and Mae Roth and was a life time Stratford resident. She graduated from Stratford High School, Class of 57 and was retired from both the Connecticut National Bank and Lafayette Bank and Trust. She loved to cook and took great pride and loved to spend time her many nieces nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Survivors in addition to her husband include her sister Irene Boynton of Brevard, North Carolina and many adored nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Bertha will also be greatly missed by her longtime close friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by two brothers, Michael Coppola and Charles Simon and her brother-in-law Gordon Boynton. Friends are invited to attend her funeral service at a time to be announced Saturday, January 3, 2015 in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. Interment will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.
