Obituary for Brandy Marie Ruggiero
RUGGIERO - Brandy Marie Ruggiero, age 26, of Stratford, beloved fiancé of Eric Cray Jr. passed away suddenly Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital. Brandy was born on March 9, 1988 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, daughter of Mark Joseph and Renee Sue (Knox) Ruggiero. Most recently, she was employed by BJ’s of Stratford, where she worked in the deli and received many words of praise from coworkers and customers alike. What free time she had was spent with her children, her fiancé and her closest friends, sharing laughs and smiles about all of the simplest things in life. Brandy took nothing for granted, and had her own special way of making it clear that she put everyone else’s well-being before her own, even when given the challenge of battling cervical cancer in the most recent chapter of her life. Every life she touched was one that she made better. Survivors, in addition to her parents and her fiancé, who was also her caregiver, include her three adored children, Forrest “Bubby” Banks, Callisto “Callie” Banks and Eric “Oogey” Cray III; three brothers, Mark, Christian and Logan Ruggiero; her fiancé‘s parents, Sue and Lou Yanez and their many children; grandparents, Barbara Knox, Shirley Ruggiero and Abuela Maria Yanez; dear friends Scotty Sprague, Sue Taft and Brianna Danas, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers. Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday evening, July 22, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford, CT. Interment will be private. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening before service time from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is setting up donations for her children’s future and may be made through the funeral home.
