Obituary for Brian T. McNamara
Brian Timothy McNamara, age 70, of Stratford, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. McNamara was born June 22, 1951 in Bridgeport, beloved son of the late Paul and Rita (Degnan) McNamara, Sr. and was a lifelong area resident.
Brian was a graduate of Bunnell High School and attended the University of New Haven. He was a United States Airforce Veteran who served in Vietnam and was retired from Southern New England Telephone Company. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Oronoque Country Club. Brian will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his brother, Paul McNamara, Jr. of Stratford and many cousins.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Nicholas Pavia, on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Peach Church, 651 Stratford Road, Stratford, CT. Military Honors will follow. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit the family before mass time from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06615. Face masks will be required.
