Serving Our Community Since 1951Mr. Mancini was born in Stratford, May 25, 1923, son of the late Carlo and Josephine (Savino) Mancini and had been a life time Stratford resident.
He was a United States Army medic during World War II and a retired letter carrier for the United States Post office in Stratford. He also worked for many years for A.W. Burritt building staircases.
Bill Moon Mancini as he was known to his friends enjoyed bowling and horse shoes, was an avid NY Yankee and NY Giant fan and adored his one and only beloved granddaughter Kaitlyn.
Survivors include his three children, William Mancini, Carol Christensen and her husband Richard and Robert Mancini; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Mancini; one brother, Ed Mancini and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by eight siblings.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Monsignor Martin Ryan on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford.
Interment with military honors will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
Friends may visit with his family Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.
