Serving Our Community Since 1951Charles Samuel Felix, age 93 of Stratford, beloved husband of Ruth (Greenwood) Felix passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in Hartford Hospital. Mr. Felix was born October 22, 1929, in Bridgeport, son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Crudele) Felix and had been a lifelong Stratford resident.
Chuck enjoyed his life and always had a positive outlook. Family, friends, Saturday nights with ‘the crowd’, Fourth of July, The Lake, traveling and Christmas Eve meant the world to him. His motto was, “Forget the bad, remember the good”. He was a retired General Superintendent of Mark IV Construction. For 25 years, “Mister Charlie” supervised many road projects throughout the state. He was an Army Veteran who served in Korea.
Chuck is now reunited in heaven with his beloved Ruth, and is survived by his two sons, Paul Felix and his wife Ellen of Marlborough and Michael Felix and his wife Sherrie of Old Saybrook; grandchildren, Stefanie, Zachary, Joseph, Jada, Christopher and Sean; one great-granddaughter, Eva and many nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by a daughter, Ann Jennings, a granddaughter, Tricia Jennings and his brother Joe.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. by meeting directly in Saint Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford.
Friends may visit with his family Monday evening, April 10, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.
Interment with military honors in Saint Michael’s Cemetery will be private.
