Obituary for Donna Fiorillo-Rider
Donna Fiorillo-Rider, age 55, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Alan O. Rider, Sr., entered Eternal Life Monday, March 9, 2015 in Bridgeport Hospital after a brief illness. Donna was born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, June 19, 1959, daughter of Josephine (Grande) Fiorello of Stratford and the late August Fiorello. Donna resided in Stratford most of her life and was a graduate of Stratford High School class of 1977. She attended the Connecticut Business Institute and was employed with Stoneybrook Co-op and Genovese Construction Company. Donna will be remembered as a warm, compassionate person, always helping others and will be missed by her cherished family. In addition to her mother Josephine, survivors include her loving children Sean Fitzpatrick, Alan O. Rider, Jr and his wife Jessica, Michelle and Holly Rider; devoted sister Nancy Yarmosh; brothers Joseph Fiorello and his wife Alice and Albert Federici; grandchildren Zachery, Elizabeth and Ana Joan Rider; eleven nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also predeceased by her Godson David Alan Yarmosh, II. Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. from the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford and at a 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours will be Friday, March 13, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff of the seventh floor of Bridgeport Hospital for their compassionate care and support in Donna’s final days.
