Obituary for Doris (Lanouette) Lambert
Doris (Lanouette) Lambert, age 82, of Shelton and previously of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Raymond Lambert, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 in the St. Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport. Doris was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Joseph C. and Alice (Michaud) Lanouette and had been a longtime Stratford resident.
Doris, who retired from Dictaphone, also worked for Raytheon Corporation, the Stratford School System and Bic Manufacturing. She was an active member of St. James Church and volunteered in the Parish Center folding bulletins among many other tasks. She was also a member of the St. James Seniors. Doris was an avid UCONN Women's Basketball fan and enjoyed working with her husband creating arrangements and bouquets at Andrew Brothers Florists, but mostly she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her two children, Karen Smith and her husband Barry of Shelton and Keith Roland Lambert of Rancho Santa Margarita, California; two grandchildren, Barry Smith Jr. and his wife Camila of Shelton and Alyssa Smith of Long Island, NY; one brother, Joseph Roland Lanouette of Windham, NH; one sister, Pauline and her husband Albert Gagne of Salem, NH, a sister-in-law Alice Lanouette of Milford, CT and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Doris was predeceased by two brothers, George Lanouette and Roger Lanouette and seven sisters, Jeannette Lanouette, Lillian Ouellette, Anita Moreau, Evelyn Goulet, Sister Theresa Lanouette S.C.I.M, Lucille Moquin and Yvonne Gagne.
Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. by meeting directly at St. James Church, 2070 Main St., Stratford, CT. Entombment will follow in St. Michael's Chapel Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT.
