Obituary for Edith (Fields) Spada
Edith Irene (Fields) Spada, age 95, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Edward K. Spada, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 in the Gladeview Rehabilitation Center, Old Saybrook. Mrs Spada was born June 7, 1925 in Tennessee and had been a longtime area resident.
She was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft and enjoyed bowling, time with a close-knit group of friends, southern cooking, family and traveling.
Survivors include her two children, devoted son Louis Spada and his wife Dorothy and daughter Diana Dixon; three sisters-in-law, Lida Bietsch, Lena Spada and Vi Spada and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a two sons, Edward Spada Jr. and Thomas Dixon
Due to Covid health concerns, all services will be private.
