Obituary for Edward Biebel
BIEBEL Edward William Biebel, age 74, of Stratford beloved husband of Theresa (Salvaggio) Biebel entered eternal life Saturday, November 24, 2012 in Saint Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport. Mr. Biebel was born June 15, 1938 in Bridgeport, son of the late Edward and Helen (Murphy) Biebel, and had been a lifetime Stratford area resident. Ed was a proud United States Navy Veteran having served on the USS Tarawa during the Cuban Missile Crisis, was a member of Stratford’s Raymond Goldbach VFW Post 9460 and was the retired caretaker of Booth Memorial Park Stratford. Survivors in addition to his wife include his two sons, Edward Biebel and his wife Keri of Shelton, and John Biebel of Boston; his brother Dave Biebel and his wife Ann of South Carolina; two step daughters, Dawn Chluey of Florida and Robyn Fry of Stratford; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Belle (Muth) Biebel and his step-son, Gary Livia. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. by meeting directly at Saint James Church, 2110 Main Street, Stratford. Interment with full Military Honors will follow in Putney Cemetery, Stratford. Visitation and all other services are private. The William R.
