Serving Our Community Since 1951Ed was a retired baker, an avid New York Yankee and New York Giants fan who enjoyed boating and NASCAR. In addition to his mother Mary Ann, he is survived by two sons, Edward C. Evanko, III and Brian J. Evanko and his wife Melissa; two brothers, Thomas Evanko of New Britain and Roger Evanko of Stratford; one granddaughter, Mikayla Evanko; several nieces and nephews including Nichole and Matthew Evanko, his godson; along with aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. from the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, 2070 Main St., Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
