Obituary for Edward Campbell
CAMPBELL - Edward Campbell, age 81, of Stratford, beloved husband for 43 years of the late Brenda (Beauregard) Campbell, passed away Thursday, December 24 2015 in Springfield, MA. Mr. Campbell was born July 24, 1934 in Bridgeport, son of the late Sam and Alice (Boisvert) Campbell and had been a life time area resident.
He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and was retired from Raybestos and Sikorsky Aircraft. He was a life member of the VFW Raymond Goldbach Post 9460 and the Stratford Bower Post 1466 Catholic War Veterans for more than 60 years.
Survivors include his children, Debra Campbell of Bridgeport, Lee Ann Atkins Dawson of Fairfield, Russell Atkins of Florida, David Beauregard and his wife Tracy of Springfield and Donald Derby and his partner Margaret Hicks of Palmer, MA. Other survivors include his brother, Lawrence Campbell of Milford and his sister, Sadie Lumbra of St. Albans, VT; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Richard, Arthur and Ronald and Samuel Campbell and his sister, Doris Majoris.
Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Thursday, December 31, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit with the family Thursday morning before service time from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
