Obituary for Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Pagliaro
Elizabeth Ann (Fekete) "Betty" Pagliaro of Stratford, age 88, beloved wife of late Lawrence "Larry" Pagliaro who predeceased her on April 1, 2003 passed on peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Northboro, Massachusetts. Mrs Pagliaro was born on Sept. 6, 1927 in NuMine, PA one of Michael and Susan Fekete's ten children.
Betty was co-owner of the family owned business, Danny's Drive-In for 34 years. She enjoyed waiting on her customers and carried that over into her personal life serving others in her church and community. She delivered meals-on-wheels for many years, assisted with church fairs and as a 'Born Again Christian' preached the word of God with her dear friends, Joan Neves and Gert Cimino.
She was a devoted wife and the beloved mother to her daughters, Linda Carver and her husband, Dana of Tampa, FL and Diana and her husband, Michael Bechard of Grafton, MA. In addition to her children, is survived by brother, Andrew Fekete and sister-in-law, Marie of Monroe, Frederick of Montana and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lee and Frank Spada, and brother-in law, Art Sheehan along with a host of nieces and nephews who always demonstrated their affection for "Aunty Betty".
She was predeceased by brothers; Michael, Joseph, George and John, and sisters Mary Madden, Peggy Lutostanski, and Kaye Sheehan.
All are welcome to attend a celebration of her life on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home 2591 Main Street, Stratford and on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. James Church 2110 Main Street, Stratford. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at St. John's Cemetery, 2610 Nichols Ave., Stratford immediately following the Mass.
The family is very grateful for the wonderful people at Whitney Place and Beaumont in Northboro, MA who provided such excellent care for her the last few years.
