Obituary for Eugene Haupler
Eugene Haupler, age 88, of Stratford, beloved husband of Joan (Gnoza) Haupler, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 in Bridgeport Hospital.Â
Mr. Haupler was born August 20, 1930 in Bridgeport, son of the late Anthony and Estelle (Wawrzoszek) Haupler and had been a life time area resident.Â
Eugene was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and was a retired plumber for GE. He enjoyed his UCONN Girl's basketball, golfing and his trips to Mohegan Sun Casino.
He especially loved his grandchildren, and his dog Clyde.Â
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his daughter, Jennifer Farr and her husband Richard, two grandchildren, Sean and Lindsay Booth and six nieces and nephews, Leith Annicelli, Stacie Cale, Dolores McGovern, Gail Szlinsky, Audrey Yussim and Ronald Haupler.Â
He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Haupler and sister, Dolores Prain.Â
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 10:00 am by meeting directly in Saint Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford.Â
Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.Â
Friends may visit with his family Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford.
