Obituary for George T. Hulton, Jr.
George Thomas Hulton, Jr, age 74, of Stratford, beloved husband of Shirley Ann (Bantle) Hulton, the love of his life, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Mr. Hulton was born January 12, 1948, in Bridgeport, son of the late George T. Hulton Sr. and Lillian (Tierney) Bulger.
George was a retired Shipping & Receiving Supervisor from Sikorsky after 28 years of dedicated service. He was an avid NY Yankees and Jets fan. He enjoyed spending his free time on the golf course, trying for that hole in one, which he actually achieved once. However, his greatest enjoyment was time spent with his family telling stories and cracking jokes.
He served as the “Cruise Director” for several vacations with the “Table 8” friends. He was also known for his dance moves especially for the Chicken Dance. He enjoyed reality TV and those that knew him well, knew his favorite sayings were “Oh Balls”, “Everything’s a big joke” and “Never give up!”. He was funny, lovable and grouchy all in one. George was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be deeply missed.
In addition to his loving wife, survivors include his three sons, George Hulton IIl (Sheila) of Newport, NH, Douglas Hulton (Kim) of Shelton and Robert Hulton of Stratford; grandchildren, Christa, Darren, Janie and Makayla Hulton; siblings, Diane Hulton, Laurie Carlson (Paul), Michael Hulton (Cindy), his beloved dog, Mugsy and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615. A memorial service will take place at 5:30 p.m. Face masks are recommended. Interment will be at the convenience of the family
