Serving Our Community Since 1951Jerry was the Owner/Operator of the Runway Rest Stop and was also a buyer for Sears. She was an avid bowler, loved to read and bake her famous pies and cookies. She also loved to crochet and enjoyed boating.
Survivors include her two son Dennis Braatz and his wife Luba and Robert Braatz, all of Southbury; three sisters Mary McLaughlin, Rose Mary Casey and Jean Lalli; seven grandchildren Peter Braatz, David Braatz, Lisa Fusco, Robert Braatz Jr., Cynthia Hogg, Melissa Braatz and Brittany Fuller; two daughters-in-law, Kathleen and Lorraine; thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister Catherine Quirk; three brothers Richard, John and Edward O'Reilly and an infant son.
Friends may call on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford. Her Funeral Service officiated by Reverend Meg Williams will follow in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. followed by burial in Union Cemetery, Stratford.
