Obituary for Gerard Louis-Charles
Gerard Louis-Charles, age 89, beloved husband of Ginette (Passe) Louis-Charles of Delmas, Port au Prince, Haiti passed away Friday, November 13, 2015. Gerard was born August 3, 1926 in Leogane, Haiti, son of the late Petion and Hermance (Estaing) Louis-Charles.
Gerard was a retired Customs Officer in Haiti. He was an avid soccer and wrestling fan. He was a gentle & generous soul who loved to dance, joke, enjoyed a glass of good wine and his Snickers bars, but the joy of his life was his family.
He is survived by four children, Kelly Louis-Charles and his wife Michelsie of Orange, CT, Magalie Granado and her husband Denis of Stratford, CT, Jeffrey Louis-Charles and his wife Yanique of Plantation, FL and Rudy Louis-Charles and his wife Carmen of Stratford, CT; three brothers, Alphonse Louis-Charles and his wife Annette of Maryland, Andre Louis-Charles and his wife Francine of Florida and Bernard Louis-Charles of Haiti; one sister, Maude Louis-Charles of Florida; six grandchildren, Ashley, Kelly II, Tarquinn, Ashton, Cheyenne, Alexandria and Atiana; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a son, Joseph Gerard Louis-Charles and four sisters, Julie Louis-Charles, Philomene Valerius, Denise Louis-Charles and Leonie Nicolas.
Friends and family are invited to visit with his family on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St. Stratford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 2070 Main St. Stratford, CT with interment in in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, CT
