Obituary for Harvey Brooks Jr.
Harvey Brooks Jr., age 80 of Stratford passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Saint Joseph's Manor Trumbull. Mr. Brooks was born April 25, 1936 in Bridgeport, son of the late Harvey and Genevieve (Benham) Brooks and had been a life time area resident.
Harvey was a 1954 graduate of Stratford high School and a United States Army Veteran. He was retired from Remington Arms and was a UCONN Husky basketball fan, he loved the outdoors especially riding his bike and walking.
He is survived by his two sons, Harvey Brooks Jr. and his wife Michele and Thomas Brooks and his wife Helen; three daughters, Suzanne Kochiss, Lisa Lydell and her husband Kurt and Michelle Cain and her husband Glen Cain; ten amazing grandchildren, Joey, Julia, Jenna, Robert, Kara, Emily, Justin, Brittany, Quinton, and Abigail; one sister, Arlene Peters and her husband Frank; one niece, Donna McDonald; one nephew, Frank Peters Jr. and his dear friends, Jim & Mac Warakomski.
A memorial service will be held on March 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the White Oaks Baptist Church, 5344 Main St Putney, Stratford, CT 06614.
