Obituary for Henry Howarth

HOWARTH Henry Howarth, age 95, of Sun City, Arizona and Chino, California and previously of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Helen (Evanko) Howarth entered eternal life, Monday May 19, 2014 in California. Mr. Howarth was born October 12, 1918 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, son of the late Henry and Mary (Sylvia) Howarth. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and a retired Assistant Fire Chief of the Bridgeport Fire Department. He was a keen student of the financial markets and an avid world traveler. He is survived by his son, Glenn Howarth of NYC; two granddaughters, Sharlene Forbes of CA and Sheila Lyn Howarth of CA; daughter-in-law, Julia Brown of CA.; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Henry Howarth. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford., and at 10:30 a.m. for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial in Saint James Church, Main St., Stratford. Interment with military honors will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.
