Obituary for Herman Paul Kirk
Herman Paul Kirk, age 90, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Jacqueline (Balling) Kirk, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in the Lord Chamberlain Nursing Facility. Mr. Kirk was born December 21, 1930 in Bridgeport, son of the late John L. and Annie (Ertl) Kirk and had been a lifelong area resident.

He was a retired Quality Engineer for Bridgeport Machines and was a United States Marine veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially when combined with a meal at a good diner. Herman loved to shoot pool and usually won each game.

Survivors include his children, John Kirk and his wife Margaret of Virginia, Sharon Madar and her husband Richard of Shelton, Lisa Pieklik of East Haven, Laura Vargas and her husband David of Seymour; grandchildren, Jonathan, Megan, Nicole, Roberto and David; great-grandson, Julian; sister-in-law, Ann Kirk and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Frederick Kirk and Conrad Kirk and sister Regina Bannerman.

Due to Covid health concerns, all services will be private. A memorial service will be announced in the future.
