Obituary for Hermine (Hegemann) Divjak
Hermine (Hegemann) Divjak, age 86, of Springfield, MA and previously of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Alexander Divjak, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, August 3, 2015 in the Birch Manor Nursing Home, Chicopee, MA. Mrs. Divjak was born February 22, 1929 in Koln, Germany, daughter of the late Katherina Hegemann and was a Stratford resident for over 40 years before her recent move to Springfield to be closer to her daughter.
Mrs. Divjak was a retired Supervisor at Practical Automation, Shelton. Â She enjoyed cooking, sewing and crocheting. She was especially fond of singing and music and was a past member of the Stratford City Choir.
Survivors include her daughter, Rita Kleps and her husband Ronald of Springfield, MA; two grandchildren, Jason Kleps of Springfield, MA and Jessica Kleps of Chicopee, MA and two great grandchildren, Xavier and Elijah.
Her family offers their profound gratitude to the staff of Birch Manor Nursing Home where she resided the past three years.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home 2591 Main, Stratford. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit with the family before service time from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
