Obituary for Irene (Rezendes) Novia
Irene (Rezendes) Novia, age 89, of Chesterfield, VA and previously of Milford, CT, beloved wife of the late Robert J. Novia Sr., passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 in Lucy Corr Village, Chesterfield, VA.
Mrs. Novia was born May 19, 1929 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Manuel and Mary Rezendes.Â
Irene was a retired office manager for Weinstein, Weiner & Shapiro Law Firm, who enjoyed taking care of family and friends and loved her crossword puzzles.Â
Survivors include her three sons Robert J. Novia Jr. and his wife Dawn, Gary Novia and his wife Cindy and Thomas Novia and his wife Cheryl; one brother James Rezendes; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four siblings Norman, David, Pauline and Rita. Â
Friends are invited to attend her funeral service celebrated by Deacon John Piatak on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 11:15 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.
Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Friends may visit with Irene’s family Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
