Serving Our Community Since 1951Mr. Zawadski was born December 25, 1934 in Bridgeport, son of the late Jan and Anna (Garstka) Zawadski. He was life time area resident before retiring with his wife to Florida and recently returned to the area to be close to his children.Â
Jack was a United States Army veteran and a retired letter carrier for the United States Post office. He was a lifelong Yankee Fan and always enjoyed a game of golf.Â
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his two children, Christa Madison of Stratford and Charles Zawadski and his wife Lori of Shelton; one granddaughter LT Rachel Smith USN; one brother Henry Zawadski, and many nieces and nephews.Â
He was predeceased by his six brothers, William, Zigmund, Gilbert, Stephen, Charles and Leonard and four sisters, Valerie, Felicia, Bernice and Anne.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service celebrated by Deacon John Piatak on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Stratford.
Friends may visit with his family Saturday before service time from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Â
