Obituary for James F. O'Hagan
James Francis O’Hagan, age 72, of Stratford and previously of New Jersey, beloved husband of Deborah Kay (Anderson) O’Hagan, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2017 in the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, Plantsville, CT.
James was born January 7, 1945 in the Bronx, New York, son of the late Phillip and Rosina (Bradley) O’Hagan. He and his wife recently retired to Stratford, CT after living most of their lives in New Jersey.
James was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He began his career in the shipping business and earned himself two Masters Degrees. He was also the owner of an upscale wine and liquor store in New Jersey and a retired real estate teacher.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his two children, James O’Hagan and his wife Kristy and Brian O’Hagan and his wife Christina; three grandchildren, Brennan, Phillip and Grace and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four siblings, Margaret Mary Ferguson, Ann Kenny, George O’Hagan and Philip O’Hagan.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 11:00 am by meeting directly at in Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road, Stratford, CT. Interment will be private. Friends may visit with his family Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT.
