Jane M. (Guevin) Chernak August, age 80, a longtime resident of Stratford, CT passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Sunday, May 17, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jane was born the daughter of Paul and Gladys (Wehrle) Guevin in Derby, CT on August 28, 1934. Jane enjoyed spending time with her family most, watching her children grow up and play sports and then later her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and spending time relaxing in the sun at the beach. In addition to her children, she is survived by her daughters-in-law Kathy and Michele; her grandchildren, Laura Chernak of Milford, CT, Michael C. August, Joseph E. August, both of Stratford, CT, Abigail C. August, Tyler D. August, both of Monroe, CT; her great grandchild, Jake T. Chernak-Herb of Milford, CT, as well as three brothers, Paul R.
