Obituary for Janice Ross
Janice (Bologna) Ross, age 66, of Stratford, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Janice was born July 30, 1954 in Bridgeport, daughter of Frank Bologna and the late Joyce (Pasquariello) Bologna and had been a lifelong area resident.
Janice enjoyed spending time with her twin sister, Joy, shopping, going to the beach, and a good cup of coffee. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. Janice lit up the room with her bright smile and warm nature and was known to have a heart of gold.
Survivors, in addition to her father, include her three children, Jana Gariepy and her husband Joseph, Jill Oliveira and her husband Roberto and Richard Konowal, Jr. and his wife Amy; two sisters, Joy Carter and Lisa Forman and her husband Chuck; eight grandchildren, Kaylie, Chloe, Joey, Jack, Emily, Jordan, Camryn and her newest granddaughter Charlotte, as well as her two nieces and nephew.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit with her family Thursday morning before Mass time from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. Face masks and social distancing are required.
In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory may be made to the Smilow Cancer Center, c/o Yale New Haven Hospital, givetoynhh.org or Constellation Hospice, www.constellationhs.com.
