Obituary for Joan Eleanor Munley
MUNLEY - Joan Eleanor Munley, age 79, of Stratford, devoted sister of Frank Munley Jr. of Stratford passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2014 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Miss Munley was born December 13, 1934 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Frank and Eleanor (Murphy) Munley Sr. and had been a lifetime Stratford resident. She was a retired telephone operator for SNET and an active parishioner of Saint James Church. In addition to her brother, she is survived by many cousins and friends especially her neighbors Peter and Barbara Dragalin. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. by meeting directly at Saint James Church, 2110 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615. Interment and all other services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joan may be made to the American Cancer Society, 372 Danbury Rd, Wilton, CT 06897.
