Serving Our Community Since 1951Mrs. Weber was born March 18, 1922 in Sheffield, England, daughter of the late Robert and Kate (Maw) Wright. She came to the United States in 1924 and was a lifetime area resident.Â
She worked for many years at Bridgeport Hospital and she retired from Park City Hospital where she was a cashier. She enjoyed playing golf, bowling, boating and traveling. After her retirement, she volunteered at Bridgeport Hospital and enjoyed lunches at Marnick’s Restaurant by the Sea Wall in Stratford. Â
Survivors, in addition to her daughter, Sandra, include two grandchildren, Dr. Pamela Linden and her husband Steven of Smithtown, NY and Debra Pandora of Newtown; one brother, Robert Wright and his wife Marjorie of Trumbull; one great-grandson, Joshua Linden and several nieces and nephews. Â
She was predeceased by her step-children Barbara Zamfino and Fred Weber. She was also predeceased by her longtime companion, William Kaminsky and her siblings, John Wright, Eileen (Boughton) Smith, Roberta McDonough and Vincent Wright. Â
Friends are invited to attend her funeral service officiated by Reverend Meg Williams on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford.Â
Friends are welcome to visit with her family Tuesday afternoon before service time from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
