Obituary for Joanna (Fritz) Kell
Joanna Theresa (Fritz) Kell, age 97, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Henry Thomas Kell Jr., passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Kell was born August 21, 1924, in Stratford, daughter of the late Stanley and Stella (Pavolikowski) Fritz and had been a lifetime area resident.
Joanna was a retired supervisor for Textron Manufacturing. She was a compassionate, loving, caring person and was the kindest, sweetest person God created. She loved baking and going to the casino. Her whole life was her family. She was the best mom a child could ask for, and she will be deeply and sadly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Jacqueline (Kell) Ochman, Linda Kell, Ricky Kell, and Jerry Kell; four siblings, Maximillian Fritz, Gloria Fritz, Victoria Wall and Marlyn Tsai; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by one daughter, Nancy Macker; two sons, Thomas and Ronald Kell; one grandson, Jason Macker; five brothers, Rudolph, Victor, John, William and Arthur Fritz and four sisters, Wanda Butler, Stella Blanchard, Fabronia (Peggy) Lewis and Emily Keller.
Due to COVID Health concerns, all services and interment in Mt Grove Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, www.StJudes.org, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
