Obituary for John Carroll
John Carroll, age 70, of Stratford, beloved husband of Andrea (Spada) Carroll, passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Mr. Carroll was born March 2, 1949 in Bridgeport, son of the late Thomas and Bertha (Jackowitz) Carroll and was a lifelong resident of Stratford.

John was a retired Director of Public Works for the Town Stratford. Prior to that he was the Building Official for the Town of Stratford. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, a role which gave him much pride, joy and love. John enjoyed spending time with his wife, helping others and playing golf with friends.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his two daughters, Melissa Carroll and Megan LaConte and her husband Larry; five grandchildren, Francesca and Juliana Barone and Mia, Luca and Michael LaConte; one brother, Michael Carroll and his wife Rose, sister-in-law Pamela Carroll, his mother-in law, Violet (Santucci) Spada and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings, MaryAnn Haymes, Dolores Kopis, Thomas Carroll and Richard Carroll.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. by meeting directly in Saint Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Interment will be private.
