Obituary for John H. O'Hare Jr.
John H. O'Hare, Jr., of the Lordship section of Stratford, beloved husband of Kathleen (Kay) O'Hare, died July 12, 2021, married 64 beautiful years.

He was predeceased by his loving son, David John O'Hare.

John was born in Bennington, VT, son of the late John and Anna Kelly O'Hare, Sr.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in World War II and proudly served in the South Pacific. He went on to graduate from Quinnipiac University. He retired from the Howmet Corp. as Division Accounting Manager. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church and the Lordship Father's Club. John was an avid gardener, history buff and Sudoku player. He enjoyed golf and going on cruises, but most of all, John loved spending time with his family; and of course his beloved dogs. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, a loving and devoted daughter and friend, Lisa Ferrara and husband, Larry, a special son-in-law, three cherished grandchildren, Stacy, Nicole and Christian Ferrara; special niece, Colleen Cullen; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his son, he was predeceased by his sister, Roseann Mathews and husband, Mike.

Arrangements have been entrusted to William R. McDonald Funeral Home in Stratford.

Interment was in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield, CT.

Per John’s request all services were private.

Those desiring may donate in his memory to Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road, Stratford, CT 06615.
