Obituary for John J. Tober
John J. Tober, age 93, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Sophie (Nagy) Tober, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 24, 2016 in Maefair Health Care Center, Trumbull. Mr. Tober was born in Bridgeport April 14, 1923, son of the late Alex and Helen Tober. John was a retired carpenter and a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II. Survivors include a son Kenneth Tober and his wife Patricia of Shelton. John is predeceased by a son John Tober and two brothers Theodore and Zoltan Tober. Friends are invited to attend his funeral on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Visitation with the family will be Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
