Obituary for Joseph Mario Ceste
Joseph Mario Ceste, age 85, of Stratford beloved husband of the late Marion (Arellano) Ceste, passed away, Saturday, January 18, 2020 in the Bishop Wicke Health Care Center, Shelton. Mr. Ceste was born October 10, 1934 in Bridgeport, son of the late Joseph and Michelina (Pagniello) Ceste and had been a lifetime area resident.
He was a graduate of Central High School, Bridgeport, a United States Army Veteran and was retired from the “Connecticut Post”. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his western movies.
Survivors include his two children, Joseph and Anna Ceste; one grandchild, Michael Ceste; sisters-in-law Barbara Arellano, Juanita Salvaggio, Connie Socha; brothers-in law Alfred and Richard Arellano and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. by meeting directly in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Ave, Stratford. Military Honors will follow at the church.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory made through the funeral home to help defer costs.
