Obituary for Judith A. (Judson) Geiger
Judith A. (Judson) Geiger, age 59, of Waterbury, beloved wife of Kenneth A. Geiger passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, June 4, 2015. Mrs. Geiger was born August 30, 1955 in Bridgeport daughter of Joan (Havery) Fontaine of Wilmington, North Carolina and the late Robert Judson Sr. Judy held various positions in banking starting with processing credit card payments at Citytrust in Bridgeport to achieving the position of Vice-President of Residential Lending for the Connecticut Mutual Holding Co in Canton. Judy graduated from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management in 2002. She was a self-taught cook who loved feeding her husband and friends with classic dishes of various cuisines and experimenting with whatever ingredients she had in her home. Judy loved to travel, most recently through coastal Maine. Survivors, in addition to her husband and mother, include her brother Robert Judson Jr. and his wife Cathy of Wilmington, North Carolina, her sister-in-law, Nancy Phelan and her husband Peter of Waterbury and five nephews, Douglas, David, Zachary and Bradley Judson and Andrew Phelan. Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford. Funeral Services and Interment in Union Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Judith may be made to the charity of your choice which supports cancer research.
