Obituary for Juneau Lee
Juneau “Bug” Lee, age 58 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 22, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Miss Lee was born on March 21, 1955 daughter of the late Mr. Ernest “Bud” Lee and Mrs. Edna Johnson Matthews Lee. Juneau attended Nathan Hill Elementary School and Whittier Middle School, and received her diploma from Bassick High School in Bridgeport, CT. Juneau was very outspoken, she bit her tongue for no one! She was a helping hand to everyone; she would give her last. In her spare time Juneau spent time with her children and grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed family gatherings, crafting, shopping and jamming as she would say! Juneau was employed by G.E Capitol and Bridgeport Metal Goods for over 20 years. She also worked for several companies as a Home Health Aid. Juneau was a faithful member of the Pentecostal Church of Prayer and Deliverance. She was a joyful voice in the choir and served on several committees. She leaves to mourn her beloved daughters Juno “Chudney” Dina (Sheldon) and Jesica Lee; sisters Betty Lee, Mary Lee, Marilyn Lee, Sandra Lee and Marticia Lee; brothers Robert “Bobby” Floyd Lee (Mary), Albert Lee (Phylis), Cornell Lee (Lucy), Ernest Lee (Carol) and Charles Lee; grandchildren Jireh Rawlison, Jasiel Bland, Sheldon Harris, Jr. and Ja’ir Harris. She also leaves to cherish one Aunt Mary L “Granny” Melvin; her long time companion John Matyasovszky and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters Anne Gertrude and Patricia Lee and a brother Thomas Lee. Friends are invited to attend her Home Going service on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pentecostal Church of Prayer & Deliverance, 1562 Stratford Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may visit with the family in church before service time from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The William R. McDonald Funeral Home of Stratford is entrusted with the arrangements. For additional information or to leave an online condolence, please visit wrmcdonaldfuneralhome.com.
