Obituary for Karen Ann Pjatak
Karen Ann (Ricitelli) Pjatak, age 70, of Stratford, beloved wife of Donald Pjatak, passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Mrs. Pjatak was born October 20, 1951 in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of the late Angelo and Phyliss (Petrino) Ricitelli.
Karen was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School and was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft. She enjoyed working in the garden and doing yard work, but one of her favorite things was preparing for and celebrating all holiday seasons. Karen’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted, caring mother and wife who provided a loving, happy home for her family. She leaves behind beautiful memories and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Survivors, in addition to her husband Donald, include her two sons, Richard D. Pjatak and his fiancé Crissy, and Kevin G. Pjatak and his wife Jen; her daughter Tammy A. Pjatak and her brother Michael Ricitelli. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother Angelo Ricitelli.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service celebrated by Deacon John Piatak, on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615. Friends may visit with the family before service time from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. (Face masks are recommended). Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 308 River Road, Shelton, CT 06484.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer Research, www.alz.org.
