Obituary for Kathleen (Gerte) Coffey
Kathleen Gerte Coffey, age 61, of Stratford, beloved companion to and love of her life, Carl Hupchick Sr., passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Sunday, November 20, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital.
She was born August 22, 1961, in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Robert Ernest and Jacqueline Mary (Gearity) Gerte.
Kathy was raised in Stratford and a graduate of Stratford High School. She loved the outdoors especially the ocean and swimming. She loved to cook and host family and friends for all occasions. She had a heart of gold and a pure genuine love which she used to put her family and loved ones above everything.
Survivors in addition to Carl include her three children, Crystal Marie Coffey, Robert Edward Paterson and his wife, Chrissy and Carl Hupchick Jr. and his wife Kelly, eight adored grandchildren, a loving brother, Raymond Gerte and his companion, Laura, her dear friend, Laura Meneo and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert Gerte Jr.
