Obituary for Lee Michael Halpern
Lee Michael Halpern, age 44, of Stratford, beloved husband of Laura (Januski) Halpern, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Lee was born September 17, 1975 in Norwalk, son of Susan (Iannacone) Halpern and the late Barry Mark Halpern, Sr., and was a lifelong area resident.
Lee was an insurance salesman and a graduate of Charter Oak State College. He was an avid New York Giant and Yankee fan and was very involved in youth sports recreation and coaching football. His children and football were his life. He had a strong belief in youth sports and the fundamentals as positive outlets for today’s youth. Lee especially enjoyed time with his children coaching Jaxon in football and playing video games with his boys.
Survivors, in addition to his wife and mother, include his three adored children, Jaxon, Luciano and Bronxon Halpern; his brother, Barry Mark Halpern Jr. and his wife Shannon; his sister, Stacey Halpern and his nieces, Olive, Brinley and Eowyn and his only nephew MJ.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615.
Interment will be private.
Friends may visit with his family Saturday before service time from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home. All visitors are required to wear masks and follow social distance guidelines.
