Obituary for Lisa LaReau
Lisa Ellen LaReau, age 60, of Milford, passed away Tuesday January 4, 2022. Lisa was born February 10, 1961, in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Paul and Marylou (Forkel) LaReau and was lifelong area resident.
She was a school psychologist, having worked in the New Haven and Bridgeport Public School system, and at Hope Academy. She was the cofounder with her friend, Carol Passmore of the “Care To Connect LLC”. She worked diligently with students and parents. She always took her profession to heart and was a devoted child advocate, foster parent, adoptive parent and an incredible friend.
Survivors include her children and foster children, Joseph, Stephen, Deval, Joshua, Tim, Emily, Geremy, and Jamie; her sister, Lori LaReau of Milford, her niece, Krystal of Texas and many cousins. She was predeceased by her foster son, Jason.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. In the Kingdom Life Christian Cathedral, 1455 Naugatuck Ave., Milford.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, www.StJudes.org, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
