Obituary for Mae (Bredice) Bercian
Mae (Bredice) Bercian, age 98, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late John Bercian, passed away peacefully Monday, January 31, 2022 in her home with her daughter by her side. Mae was born May 24, 1923 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Frederick and Josephine (Ricci) Bredice.
Mae was a loving and caring Nursery School Aid. She loved walking in Lordship and camping in the Berkshires. Along with her husband, she was very active in the Lordship Father’s Club. She was also a member of the Ivy League at Our Lady of Peace Church, where she enjoyed participating in their various activities. Most of all, Mae enjoyed time with her family and going to all her children’s activities. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her devoted daughter, Pamela Bercian of Stratford; a son, Mark Bercian of Johnson City, TN; a sister, Freda Quintiliano of Stratford and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by brothers, Anthony and Robert Bredice and sisters, Marie Constantino and Dae Delvecchio.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Fr. Nicholas Pavia on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. by meeting directly at Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road, Stratford, CT 06615. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace Church Sanctuary Fund, 10 Ivy Street, Stratford, CT 06615.
